resolutions be damned.

Fri Jun 27, 2008, 8:19 AM
Okay, so despite my total lack of participation recently, I have been working like a madman - both at my actual job and in the painting room.

I just completed a new painting (to be posted soon). Sadly, it is a giveaway - very overdue birthday present for my sister. I have 4 more in the works, hopefully to be completed within the next week & a half, for my debut "show" which will take place in my driveway , in conjunction with a giant, basement-purging garage sale on July 5&6 (to be confirmed by the powers in charge of the driveway).

I am taking my first ever paid vacation during the second week of July, and have tentative plans to go out of town. if they fall through, however, I might start work on 3 huge canvases donated recently by my special man-friend. It will be the first time I go large scale and am very , very excited and rather nervous about it.

Why thanks for the comment! Its my first time attempting a piece like this; I hope it turns out well. I was trying to instill a sense of movement. I'd just finished a project of Duchamp and I fell in love with Nu Descendent un Escalier and how he tried to capture movement instead of doing the usual Cubist thing and depicting the object from different angles. I wanted to try it for myself. :P
